Sophisticated Symposiums

Educational and entertaining, symposiums are a fun way to fill your days at Tiki Oasis. You do not need to be a Tiki Oasis ticket holder or hotel guest to purchase tickets to the symposiums. Arrive early as admission is first come first serve basis. All events are festival seating. Deluxe Pass holders will receive VIP entrance to all the symposia.

The Story of Aquarama, World Famous Mermaid Attraction

Learn about one of the most amazing 1960s roadside attractions in mermaid history. Inspired by Florida’s Weeki Wachee, the nearly forgotten Aquarama featured Aquamaids and Aqualads performing choreographed and costumed underwater acts including monster fights, gypsy dances, and a beautiful curvaceous bull sparring with a Spanish matador– an irresistible attraction for Lake of the Ozarks vacationers. Experience Aquarama and 1960s mermaid attractions through vintage photos and film and material gathered from interviews with Aquarama’s head Aquamaid and the son of Aquarama’s founders. Very special guest Marina the Fire Eating Mermaid will end the session with a Q & A and mermaid show-and-tell. Hosted by Vintage Roadside.

In Search of the Lost Paradise
A road-movie in search of the ultimate Tiki experience. Take a trip through San Diego's Tiki Oasis, The Hukilau, in Fort Lauderdale and the Luau By The Lake, in fabulous Lake George. Visit some of the best Tiki home bars of the US, and discover the secrets of their owners. Discover the secret connection between Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room and burlesque queen Mimi Le Meaux. An intimate portrait of this new exotic urban tribe: the so- called "tikiphiles". They drink tropical drinks, dress in vintage clothes, listen to Exotica music, but most of all are a big and colorful family. Brazilian Director Duda Leite available for Q & A after the film.

If you are coming for a specific performance, We suggest showing up at least 30 minutes early to allow us some time to process your tickets. We wouldn't want you to miss out on any of the fun! Please consult our schedule for event times and performance listings.
Once you are registered you will be given a wristband that allows you access to the event. You will be required to wear this wristband at all times during the event. Cut off wristbands will not be accepted and NO you will not be issued a second wristband – so don’t take your wristband off at any time!
Children 17 and under are free to attend with paid attendance of a supervising adult. Keep in mind that Tiki Oasis events do feature performances of an adult nature so please consult our schedule to make an informed decision about what is appropriate for the children in your group.
Alcoholic beverages are available for purchase at all of our events for those 21 and over in age. Minors are not allowed at anytime to be in possession of an alcoholic beverage.

Booking a room in one of the arranged hotels does not include admission to the event. You must purchase tickets separately. For further information regarding hotel reservations click HERE!
Symposium Ticket Information
To pick up up your Symposium Tickets, Please bring a copy of your receipt to the door at Symposium location. These locations vary, so please consult our schedule page.
If you have purchase a Deluxe Pass for Tiki Oasis, All you have to do is show your wristband to gain admittance to symposium of your choice. Please note this does not include The Cocktail Garnish and The Tiki Go Go Chef Service classes
We suggest you arrive at least 10 minutes early to all symposiums to allow for ticket processing at the door of the event.
The Drink Symposiums are restricted to those 21 years in age and over due to their alcoholic nature. Proof of age will be required at the door.
