King Kukulele is a multi-talented entertainer and long-time M.C. for Tiki Oasis. He is a comedian, actor, and ukulele player who has performed around the world, delighting audiences far and wide with his entertaining wit and inexhaustible energy. Kukulele has sung hapa haole and novelty songs at events ranging from Hollywood movie premieres to Disneyland.

Midcentury pop-culture expert and humorist, Charles Phoenix, is a performer, author, explorer and collector celebrating classic and kitschy American life and style. He is known for his spirited slide show performances, classic car Joyride videos, colorful coffee table books, test kitchen creations, and fun field trip tours. Growing up in Ontario, California in the ‘60s and ‘70s, he was educated at theme parks, thrift stores, shopping malls and his dad’s used car lots.

Join Steve Conrad and friends for a fun strum-and-sing session where you'll learn chords, strumming patterns, and simple fingerpicking techniques for easy-to-play songs. No experience is necessary—just bring a ukulele and a willingness to channel your inner flower child. By the end of the class, you'll be making music with four strings and a smile!

Instructor Steve Conrad has taught at Mesa Arts Center, Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts, Arizona Musicfest, Tiki Oasis, and before performances of Jake Shimabukuro. Steve is a member of the Ukabillies, a ukulele band that performs for Arizona audiences. Most notably the group play at the Rhythm Room each year for an Elvis Presley birthday celebration.

Cush will also dive into using acid to preserve ingredients, the fundamentals of lacto-fermentation, vinegar production and applications in cocktails, and other techniques used by today's most innovative bartenders. This event is 21+ and includes two cocktail samples.

Scott "Dr. Cush" Cushman is host of the online cocktail community, Dr. Cush's Exotic Drinks, which meets live online three times a week to learn about the craft, history and technique behind some of the world's most and least known cocktails and spirits. Previously, Dr. Cush was head of beverage for a large Los Angeles based bar group for over 20 years.
