Modern Flavors of Tropical Cocktails

Sponsored by

Presented by Adam Rains and Nick Brink

To keep the art form of Tiki drinks and culture alive, adherents must tip a hat to tradition while remaining open to new influences. This seminar explores ingredients that are used in tropical cocktails, including non-rum spirits, current trends in flavors and regional ingredients, such as Amaro. Adam Rains and Nick Brink provide examples of the flavors and ingredients being used today and give audiences a peek into what’s ahead for tropical cocktails.

Adam Rains is the Chief Administer of the Liquid Unknown at the Golden Tiki in Las Vegas. He was the 2020 Italicus "Bar Artist of the Year" and was the 2019 Nevada Restaurant Association’s “Drink Specialist of the Year”. Adam has helped open several restaurants and bars, has designed the beverage program for Flock & Fowl, and is co-developing a new whiskey for Silver State Distillery. He has written for publications such as Chilled Magazine, Tales of the Cocktail, and Las Vegas Food Beverage Professional.
