The Hula Girls

The Hula Girls

The Hula Girls, return to the main stage at Tiki Oasis for the second time. This will be their fourth year, playing at Tiki Oasis.

Hailing from CostaMesa, CA, and celebrating their 5-year anniversary, The Hula Girls are hands down, the kings of modern hulabilly. It’s a style which has existed, yet remained un-categorized in the rockabilly and hillbilly scene since dating all the way back to the 1950s. Their music is comprised of ‘50s rock ‘n roll, rockabilly and hillbilly, mixed with hapa-haole (Hawaiian music with English lyrics) and early 1960s’ surf.

The Hula Girls will be featuring songs from their debut release, “The Curse of the Tiki” as well and songs from their upcoming release (yet to be titled), which features songs about cocktails, headhunter abductions, and tales of tiki bar living gone wrong.

The Hula Girls areSpike Marble (guitar/ vocals), Christian Kessler (upright bass/ vocals), Doug Sanborn (drums/ vocals) and Shorty Poole (steel guitar). Always joining them on the big stages are the hula-a-go-go dancers, Miss Dinah DeRosa and Miss Judy Luck!

The Hula Girls’ sophomore album will be out soon! Stay tuned at facebook!!
