Chris "Sugarballs" Sprague, accomplished singer and talented multi-instrumentalist Chris Sprague has come into his own as a master of Truck Driving Music. One of Country Music's unique subgenres, Truck Driving Music fuses the 1960s era Bakersfield drive and twang of Buck Owens and Merle Haggard with the everyday concerns of hardworking people.

The 18 Wheelers also cover some of their all-time Truck Driving classics by such artists as Red Simpson, Jerry Reed, and Joe Stampley. With 3 CDs under their belt, fans will sure delight in music played by The 18 Wheelers with fervor and a pure Country heart.

Residing in Van Nuys, California, Chris Sprague has been a working musician for many years. "Sugarballs" is now the drummer for the popular Los Straitjackets, as well as the drummer for Deke Dickerson and the Ecco-Fonics, and fronting his own band, the 18 Wheelers.

Chris has appeared on Conan O'brien, CBS nationwide television and National Public Radio, "Sugarballs" has performed live around the world, including several successful tours of Japan, Europe and Australia. Chris Sprague is revered and coveted for his uncanny ability to step in and work effectively on the spur of the moment with a variety of roots music artists, from the Rock and Roll Guitar Legend "Duane Eddy", to classic Bakersfield-style Country with Norman Hamlet of Merle Haggard and the Strangers.
