Hailing from Southern California, BOSS FINK embodies the musical spirit of the region that’s known for its surfing and drag racing. Hot Rod and Surf music exploded in the early 60’s when teens in Southern California and eventually the rest of the world picked up musical instruments and created a sound drenched in reverb and fuzz guitar that would epitomize their favorite pastimes.
Boss Fink channels this energy while bringing their own originality to the sound. You can call it Surf Music but they prefer to call it Drag Racing Music, or even FINK ROCK based on their obsession with Kustom Kulture icon, ED “Big Daddy” Roth and all things Fink!
This instrumental four piece group is made up of members of The Ghastly Ones and The Huntington Cads, two favorites from previous TIKI OASIS’. Norman “Quarter Mile” Cabrera of The Ghastly Ones and Jeff “Race” Carr share guitar duties backed by a killer rhythm section that includes Steve “Road Kill” Hill on Bass and Len “Road Agent” both previously of The Huntington Cads.
So strap on your crash helmet and prepare to hear the sounds of nitro and burning rubber at this year’s TIKI OASIS CAR SHOW by So Cal’s very own Kings of the Quarter Mile, BOSS FINK!
Can't wait for the car show? then check THIS out!
